Network Club Network Club -29th July 2011
MS talk Members sharing with others Summer Fair Martina thanked everyone for their input into The Summer Fair event on the 2nd of July 2011. It was the first time we had held an outdoor event. The total amount of money raised was not as much as we hoped, but we did not lose anything because we did learn a lot about organising and planning a big outdoor event. The Nightingale Community Hospice Trust, the organisation we partnered with and who have a lot of experience in organising events taught us a lot and we gained a lot of knowledge. Martina said thank you letters had been sent out to the people who were kind enough to make donations to us for the event. We would keep in touch with them as they will continue to support us in the future Quiz Night Martina advised everyone that this year’s quiz night will be held on the 19th November 2011 and the next planning committee meeting will be in Tottenham on the 6th of August at 1 o’clock at Valerie’s house. It has been suggested by some members that meetings could be held in member’s houses especially for those who have difficulty attending at outside venues. Tele-class (Sharing Journeys) Martina advised everyone the tele-class (conference call) service called Sharing Journeys will be commencing on Monday 15th August at 8pm. Change in Network Club Time Martina informed everyone present that recent feedback from members has suggested that Network Club should be held in the afternoon instead of the morning starting in February 2012.
